Best mouse for small hands, choose your fit

The gamers with small hands struggle to find the appropriate mouse. The size, weight, and shape of a mouse can be a determining factor in how well you perform in the game.

It’s essential to have a fantastic gaming mouse for claw grip user.

Although there are plenty of mice available on the market. There are a few mice available for gamers with small hands.

Choosing the best mouse for small hands claw grip is not simple but we have covered all the aspects you need to consider.

A Quick User Guide For Claw Grip gaming Mouse for Small Hands

If you are going to buy a smaller mouse, consider the following points before purchasing.

1. Mouse Size

The majority of the game players use small mice for claw grip because it’s easy to hold and grip the mouse. If the mouse is big, it will be problematic to grab it in claw grip style, and also it gets your hand tired quickly. Mice manufactured nowadays have ergonomic grip, so you will have no problem holding them.

2. Mouse Shape

The dimension of the mouse also plays an important role in the claw grip. The palm rest area of the mouse should not be extra elevated because if the arch is high, it will be difficult to operate the mouse. Mice with a big hump are more suited for palm grip style.

3. Buttons

Buttons must be of supreme quality. Nowadays, almost every mouse within a decent price range has quality, durable buttons. I like mice with a crisp click and have optimal actuation.

4. Weight

Claw grip is mainly used for FPS type games. A lighter mouse would be an apt choice because you have to make lots of sudden movements. If your mouse is heavy, over time, you could get mouse pain.

5. DPI

Speed matters in games a lot. If you are buying a mouse for games make sure it has a gaming-grade sensor because it allows you to control the DPI of the mouse to adjust it to the exact momentum you want your cursor to move on the screen.

It is easier to control standard-size mice with large or medium hands because you can reach mouse controls without much effort. But those with small hands may struggle to control the mouse because the fingers won’t grip the mouse well. It’s important to know what your hand size is and what mouse will work best with it.

How Hand and Finger Size Impacts Holding a Mouse

An adult male hand whose length is approximately under 6.7″ is considered a small hand this is an average size. Some people may differ this hand length but this is pretty much the standard and mouse manufacturers who make mice use this average length to build small gaming mice.

Note: Not every small gaming mouse is fit for claw grip, because some users may have broad palms others could have bit longer fingers. You have to take into account your hand shape, length, and width to pick the best mouse for small hands claw grip.

We have thoroughly researched and shortlisted some best gaming mice, one of them could be just right for you and have all the features required for gaming. Some mice on the list may be simple but are recommended by gamers for claw grip style

Esport players are always on the hunt, looking for a mouse’s ideal shape and size.

1. FinalMouse Ultralight 2 Cape Town – Best ergonomic mouse for small hands

FinalMouse Ultralight 2 offers a fantastic shape and is a lightweight mouse. The Ultralight 2 is the perfect choice for those who want a mouse with a smaller footprint. This mouse offers ultimate comfort and is durable.

The FinalMouse has a unique shape with high-strength reusable INFINITYSKINS, included with every mouse. These ultra-thin skins come in multiple thicknesses in increments of millimeters.

Many gamers find it alright even without supplied skin. Still, it’s open for adjustments for those who need perfection to achieve the desired grip they are comfortable with.

It’ll take some time to get used to INFINITYSKINS on the mouse.

This ultra-lightweight mouse gives you the ultimate freedom to move around your hand without being hindered by excess weight. It’s lightweight but not so light that you miss the targets. It fits well in your hand and gives you enough control over the cursor.

Top Features:

Available in White color
Optical Sensor
Hand Orientation: Ambidextrous
Weight: 47 GRAM (Lightweight)
Connectivity: Wired, USB 4.0
Buttons: 5

Pros
  • Patent extra skin to make the mouse surface just to the right size for a better experience

  • One of the Lightweight mice

  • Wired only connectivity

  • Batter quality scroll wheel than the previous model

  • Four different DPI settings 400, 800, 1600, 3200

Cons
  • No wireless

  • No Bluetooth

  • No RGB lights

  • Bit pricey but worth it if you want to precise the size for the grip

My Analysis:

In my opinion, the main feature is, its ability to customize the shape and size of the mouse. It could be odd for many people to add layers over layers to give it a condition to your needs. Only a true intense gamer can understand how vital grip could be in the gameplay.

This is one of the OK mice for claw and palm grip, especially for small and medium hands and one of the lightest mice on the list.

As far as the price is concerned, I feel it’s over priced. But if it serves the purpose of giving you an edge in the game, you should go for it.

You can use any open-source software to configure it if you intend to modify the standard manufacturing settings.

Note: Warranty is void if tempered with third-party software Or changed wire to Paracord wire as many gamers do.

Important: It might go out of stock forever soon, I only recommend it to hard-core gamers to get it before it goes OOS.

Cooler Master is a lightweight gaming mouse designed to give you the control you need at mind-numbing speeds. I like the overall design of this mouse; it has a compact design with an ultra-thin shell to improve the overall feel of the product. Lightweight cable construction helps reduce cable weight. The ultra weave flexible cable ensures smooth swiping without snags or interference.

Another feature I like about cooler master is it provides the gamer with an optic density of up to 16,000 DPI. With seven levels to help you pinpoint the right spot on the screen for each shot as per your needs.

What attracts me more is customizable RGBs lights, which are perfect for any gamer, allowing greater control over your settings. The ergonomic, comfortable shape is ideal for extended play sessions. A precision scroll wheel enables you to navigate with ease. With the customizable settings, you can get the most out of your mouse.

Top Features:

Comfortable for Palm / Claw / Hybrid grip
Hand orientation: Right
Up to 1000Hz polling rate
RGB lights
Ergonomic stardard design
Right-Handed

  • Programmable buttons

  • specially designed cable to reduce unnecessary hindrance during gameplay

  • Changeable RGB lights

Cons
  • No Wireless 2.4G connection

  • No Bluetooth connection

  • Some people may not be comfortable with honeycomb body structure

My Analysis:

The main upgrade to its predecessor MM710 is the significant improvement in click latency, which is 6ms. Low latency is important for games like FPS .

Also, I found it a bit more compact than the previous model; the length is reduced to 4.1″ from 4.5″, which also reduced the weight.

It’s an apt choice for small hands in particular and also suitable for medium hands.

Coller Master wired mice are not a travel-friendly.

It is fully compatible with Windows OS and has basic functionality with all other OSs, making it not suitable for gamers who play games on multiple OS.

If I talk about price it’s budget mouse, not so high, not so low.

3. Razer DeathAdder v2 Mini – best gaming mouse for small hands claw grip

The Razer DeathAdder optical mouse is one of the leading mice, and combines unrivaled gaming performance with unmatched comfort. The DeathAdder v2 Mini features a unique optical sensor that’s 3x faster than traditional mechanical switches. It uses a ray to register the mouse click, which eliminates the delay caused by conventional mice.

It uses light beam-based actuation, registering button presses at the speed of light, almost 20% more acceleration than standard optical mice. Deliver lag-free control for highly competitive gamers with its Speedflex Cable.

With comprehensive profiling, you can choose a light color from millions of combinations to light up your playing desk and programable buttons. The software allows more reasonable control over functions to perform better on the battlefield.

Top Features:

Available in Black color
Optical Sensor
Hand Orientation: Right-Hand
Comfortable for Palm / Claw / Hybrid grip
RGB lights
Drag free wire
6 Buttons

Pros
  • Includes grip tape

  • Contoured design

  • Programable buttons and RGB profileing

  • Textured grips, included, to avoid finger slip

  • Supported OS Windows

Cons
  • No 2.4 GHz wireless

  • No Bluetooth

  • Mac OS is not supported, just basic functions for MAC and other non-Windows OS

My Analysis

If I have to compare it with any other mice, it would be Razer DeathAdder Chroma or Razer Viper Mini. DeathAdder Chroma is a little big for small hands. Though it is an excellent model, the introduction of DeathAdder v2 Mini has made it perfect for gamers with small hands.

Its Mini design is considerably smaller than your typical mouse. For a claw grip, it’s really comfy and SUPER lightweight, which will take time getting used to, but you would love it when you get used to it.

Also, the mouse grip should be pre-installed because sometimes it becomes tricky to map tape on the buttons, which can ruin once not handled appropriately.

Another thing that I noticed, it’s also cheaper than DeathAdder Chroma, even with enhanced capabilities that make it more desirable.

Pros
  • Improved wireless connectivity

  • Customizable light from 16.8 m colors

  • Programmable buttons

  • Suitable for all grip types

Cons
  • Customer support is not so helpful

  • Not fully supported on all platforms except windows OS

My Analysis:

This is one of the best wireless gaming mice for FPS games; its HERO sensor delivers precision shots when in action. However, the material quality is a bit low standard. Maybe this feeling is because of its thin body, which reduces its weight significantly.

Another thing I noticed gamers are complaining about battery life. But I think since many of them are using it for a long session, as a result, it’s more likely to drain quickly; otherwise, it could last for a couple of weeks or a month.

It’s a good effort by Logi Tech; Bu the price should be a bit lower.

Pros
  • Improved wireless connectivity

  • Programmable buttons

  • Flexible Ascended Cord

  • Platform supported for basic functions Windows, Mac, and Linux

Cons
  • No Wireless 2.5 G

  • No Bluetooth

  • Software not supported other than Windows OS

My Analysis

As I see it, overall. It is specifically designed for claw grip users with small hands and it serves the purpose well by providing the grip users want. It’s designed based on Glorious Model Owhich was designed for medium to large hands. Its 0.4″ shorter in length and 0.1″ reduced width, not a big difference, but it fits well in small hands.

A button that is wrongly placed at the bottom is the DPI indicator; this should be on the mouse’s top side. It indicates that what stored DPI level is active and flashes the corresponding light.

Another downside to it is a bit louder clicks. This might not be a problem for the majority of users but I thought I should mention it to let you know.

From the user’s point of view, it’s for medium to small hand size gamers, not specifically for small hand size but I think it would be an apt choice for gamers whose hand sizes fall between small to medium length.

Can people with small hands use a big mouse?

Yes, a user with small hands can use a big mouse. But there are several large mouse models where the arrangement of the buttons and overall body structure of large-sized mice are built in a way so that users with small hands face difficulty operating them.

For instance, on a large size mouse, if the mouse buttons are small and placed at a distance where a user with small hands can’t reach them with their fingers when they put their hands on the mouse, such big mouse would be challenging to use by users with small hands.

What is Claw grip?

Claw grip is a blend of palm and fingertip grip you hold the mouse in claw style where you fingers are raised and bend inwards.

How do you hold mouse with claw grip?

For claw grip your index and middle finger tips are placed on the buttons in claw style and some portion your of palm is touching the mouse top.
