The best device to play games is a mouse, but as games are changed now, a regular mouse is not sufficient to play games anymore.
You must have a gaming computer mouse; in fact, you need the best multi-button mouse with side buttons.
You need a gaming mouse with thumb buttons because there are multiple tasks/actions you have to perform while playing in order to stay ahead of your competitor.
A gaming mouse with side buttons allows you to play games with a single hand without using keyboard shortcuts or missing out on targets while swapping guns.
Mice with extra buttons can be used with all types of games, whether it’s FPS, MMO, MOBA, or RPG. You can even use it for your regular work by assigning macros for copy, paste, or cut like operations.
Mostly the mice with side buttons are programmable. You can configure them as you need. You can map required actions on any configurable mouse side button to be triggered when pressed.
I am not a big fan of the Razer line of products, but I was impressed by the Razer Naga Trinity. It is a gaming mouse with advanced features that perform well in the game.
This mouse offers three swappable button plates that you can switch to meet your game needs.
In addition, it can store five onboard profiles with custom button configurations. You can switch these profiles easily.
Adjustable DPI up to 16,000 DPI lets you customize your mouse’s sensitivity so you can achieve perfect accuracy on every gunshot or move.
If you have never used a gaming mouse before, the Razer Naga Trinity might just be what you are looking for.
In total, there are nineteen buttons you can have maximum, and all can be configured as per your preferences.

Naga Trinity is the right mouse for any game type. The changeable side buttons are impressive and work well. The buttons are well arranged so that you can comfortably press them without accidentally pressing the wrong button.
I highly recommend it for gamers who play FPS and MMO games.
2. Logitech G903 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse – Best Ambidextrous Gaming Mouse
Logitech is one of the major mouse manufacturers and their G903 LIGHTSPEED is an amazing mouse that features Logitech’s HERO 25K optical sensor that can track 1:1 with improved performance.
With G903 LIGHTSPEED, you can achieve the highest DPI sensitivity up to 25600, which provides optimal smoothing and acceleration.
What I like most about the G903 mouse are its ambidextrous design and Logitech LIGHTSPEED solid wireless connectivity.
With the Logitech software, you can now customize the speed at which your cursor moves. The fast response time enables you to react with zero delays during gaming sessions.
All this technology is housed in a reliable, lightweight shell to keep the weight down and make sure it feels like an extension of your hand.
You’ll be able to enjoy a smooth and fast experience when you combine this mouse with your gaming notebook or desktop PC.

OS compatibility: Windows® 7 and above, macOS® 10.11 or later, Chrome OS
Analysis:
I am a fan of Logitech because they try to come up with unique ideas and smartly blend them into the product. Logitech G903 LIGHTSPEED has an unusual way of charging the mouse while you are using or playing.
G903, when combined with the Power Play pad, you don’t have to worry about mouse charging. It can charge itself while you are using it or leave it in an idle state.
I know the price is high, but it is worth it. It has a PMW 3366-based sensor (Named under Logitech license HERO 16K Sensor).
There is also a variant of the G903 mouse with a 25K sensor which also has Powerplay charging compatibility.
Here is one thing you could find helpful; if you do not want to buy it with a Power play charging pad, I suggest you buy its previous version Logitech G900 mouse ( Available as a Wired and wireless mouse). Because there is not much difference, both G900 and G903 are the same except Logitech G900 is cheaper.
Another thing to consider is that it could take some time to adjust to its ambidextrous design. It has buttons on both sides. You can cover one side button of the mouse with a plastic cover to avoid pressing them accidentally. Side covers are included.

Analysis:
As mentioned earlier M801 is available in wired and wireless models. But there is one difference between them. With the M801 wired mouse, you have the liberty to finetune the mouse weight, while with the M801 wireless model, weight adjustment is not available.
The mouse side top is covered with a textured rubber grip which is good for grip even if you have sweat on your hands.
The side buttons are placed nicely and can be accessed with ease. However, the button placed at the left top button corner is difficult to reach, and I believe it would remain unused due to its position on the mouse unless you have long fingers and can easily reach it.
Build quality and feel are fine. The shell is made up of plastic but is sturdy. It’s a good mouse in a low price range.

OS compatibility: Windows® 10, 8.1, 8, 7; PS4/PS5; Xbox One; Xbox Series X|S, Mac OS
Analysis:
If you like the mouse with thumb buttons, HyperX Pulsefire Raid is one. I would recommend it because it has sufficient buttons to cater for any game type like FPS and MMO/MOBA.
It has a fine hand sculpt shape that can accommodate your palm, and you feel comfortable holding it. Pulsefire’s sides are covered with a textured finish mat which provides good grip, but it’s not helpful for sweaty hands.
It’s suitable for medium to large hand sizes. If I have to compare it with any other mouse, it would be Logitech G502. G502 is more versatile; you can adjust the weight, but the side button arrangement is a bit odd.
Generally, it is assumed that a mouse with multiple buttons is used for gaming purposes only, but you can also use it for work. It can increase your work efficiency and performance. For instance, several models of mice have two extra buttons on the side of the mouse. These buttons are given for making your internet browsing more convenient. These additional two buttons allow you to go back and forward on the browser window, which is a frequent task we do while surfing the internet.
You can also configure mouse side buttons and what they can do when pressed. For example, you can map them to perform a certain task as listed below.
1) Cut, Copy and Paste
2) Undo
3) Show the desktop
4) Close the application
5) Print screen
6) Open a new tab
7) Browser tab Switching
8) Switching browser tab
Other than specific simple tasks, you can also create macros. These macros perform operations that use multiple keypresses on a keyboard. But with a mouse, you can do it with one press of a button. This could definitely increase productivity and reduce the effort to perform a task.
Mouse with side buttons can be configured to operate multimedia applications like media players. You can configure buttons to play or pause music/video. You can also assign buttons for the next or previous song/audio track. Also, you can map buttons for increasing or decreasing volume.
I suggest, using a wireless mouse with extra buttons for multimedia applications because it allows you to operate from a fair distance, just like a remote control.
If you want to use a mouse with side buttons, make sure these buttons are configurable because you need to program the buttons on the mouse to map the desired action that you want in the game to trigger.
This will increase your performance in the game and keep you ahead of your competitor. There are a variety of operations, moves, and tasks you can assign to selected buttons on your extra mouse buttons. Some of them are listed below.
1) Weapon switching
2)Crowd attacking in battle based games
3) Scoping
4) Reloading
5) Throwing grenades
6) Healing/health boost
7) Turning on or off voice chat
8)Changing camera angles
9) Besides the above actions, you can also map buttons for quick moves, as mentioned below.
10) Taking a position
11) Leaning
12) Peeking in or out
13) Jumping
14) Crouching
15) Running
16) Turning around
You can configure your mouse side buttons to act accordingly above and many more moves that the game offers.
